Stuc a' Chroin 5000 2018

posted 21 May 2018, 08:58 by Cross Country Club - Saints Sport

On 5 May, runners gathered in Strathyre to embark on a 22K race up Stuc a' Chroin for an approximate 5000 foot climb. With near-zero visibility at the peak and freezing temperatures, the conditions made for a hellish course and an overall difficult race. However, despite the slippery and challenging path, the University of St Andrews had a successful outcome. A special shoutout goes to Stephen McDougall who came in an incredible 50th place with a time of 02:56:52. Congratulations to everyone who ran and to everyone who represented the University of St Andrews as this was no easy feat!

50 - Stephen McDougall 02:56:52

64 - Alex McMaster 03:03:29
132 - Philip Wright 03:42:44
